AI Visibility

AI Visibility Checker

Enter your domain and a question your buyers ask. We run it live against the AI answer engines and show whether you get cited, and who gets cited instead.

What this check measures, and what it cannot

The tool sends your question to every AI engine connected on this deployment, reads the answer that comes back, and looks for your domain in it. Cited means your domain appeared in the answer or in the sources the engine returned alongside it. Not cited means the engine answered the question without you, and the list of domains it named instead is the shortlist you are competing against.

One prompt on one day is a sample rather than a measurement. Engines run a fresh search on most requests and rewrite the answer as their index moves, so two runs an hour apart can disagree. Read a single result as evidence about that prompt, not a verdict on your visibility.

Prompt wording changes the outcome more than most people expect. A short keyword and the same question with an audience attached pull different sources, because the longer version gives the engine something specific to match against. Run the phrasing your buyers use out loud, not the keyword you would bid on.

How to read your result

What you sawWhat it meansWhat to do next
Cited by every engineYour page is retrievable and your claim matches the question. Uncommon on a contested prompt.Test a harder prompt, one naming a competitor or a constraint, before you decide the category is covered.
Cited by one engine onlyOne engine's retrieval finds you and the others do not. Usually a coverage gap rather than a content problem.Confirm the page is indexed and no AI crawler is blocked, then look at which sources the engines that missed you used instead.
Not cited, rivals namedAn answer exists on the web and it is not yours. This is the common result and the useful one.Open the pages the engine named, find the passage it lifted, and write a better version of that passage on a page you control.
No engine names anyoneThe prompt is too broad or too niche for the web to have settled on an answer.Rewrite it as a question a buyer would ask, with the audience or the budget included.
An engine shows Not connectedThat engine has no API key on this deployment, so it was never asked.Read the result as covering the engines that answered, and nothing about the ones that did not.

The row of domains under each answer is the part worth keeping. Those are your competitors inside AI answers, and they are often review sites and roundups rather than the rivals you track in classic search.

AI visibility questions

Why does the same prompt give a different answer an hour later?

Because most engines search the live web on each request and rank the sources at answer time. A page that was fourth best this morning can be second best this afternoon, and the answer is rewritten around it. A stable read needs the same prompts run on a schedule so the noise averages out, which is the difference between a one-off check and tracking.

What counts as being cited?

This check looks for your domain in the answer text and in the sources the engine returned. A model can name your brand in passing without linking you, which has some value, but the domain is what a reader can click and what the engine treats as a source. If your brand is named without a link, the underlying problem is usually that no page of yours was retrievable for that question.

I rank first on Google for this term and no AI engine cites me. Why?

Ranking and retrieval are different jobs. An engine picks a passage that answers the question, not a page that ranks for a keyword, and it often assembles the answer from third-party roundups instead of any vendor site. The usual repair is a question-shaped heading on your page with a direct answer under it, in the first two sentences rather than the sixth paragraph.

How many prompts do I need before the number means anything?

Twenty to thirty, spread across discovery, comparison, evaluation, and how-to questions. Below that, one answer flipping moves your rate by double digits and you end up reacting to noise. A single prompt is still worth running when you want to diagnose one question rather than measure a category.
