Buyer Prompt Generator

Tell us what you sell and who buys it. We generate the buyer prompts people type into AI engines, grouped by intent, so you know exactly what you need to show up for.

A buyer prompt is not a keyword

A keyword is compressed for a search box. Three words, no context, because that is what a ten blue links interface rewarded. A prompt is written for something that answers in sentences, so buyers put back everything they used to strip out: who they are, what they already tried, what they cannot spend. That returned context is what the engine matches against, and it is why a page built for the keyword often loses the prompt.

The generator builds four intent groups from your category, your audience, the job to be done, and a competitor name. It runs in your browser and is deterministic: the same inputs give the same list every time, and nothing is sent to a server.

Most teams only think about the first group, the best X question. It is the highest value prompt in any category and the hardest to win, because engines usually answer it from third-party roundups where your own page is not a candidate. The three groups after it are where a page you control can win the citation this quarter.

The four intents, and what winning each one is worth

IntentWhat the buyer is doingWhat a citation there is worth
DiscoveryAsking for a shortlist with no brand in mind. The highest value and the hardest to earn. The engine assembles it from roundups and review sites, so being named there matters more than your own page.
ComparisonNaming one product and asking what else exists, or how two options differ.Winnable with one honest comparison page, and the reader who arrives has already decided to buy something.
EvaluationChecking price, fit, and whether the thing is worth it.The cheapest to win, because most vendors hide pricing and the engine has to quote whoever states a number in plain text.
Use case and how-toDescribing a problem rather than a category, often before they know a category exists.Gets your brand into the conversation before a shortlist forms, which is the only point where a shortlist can still be changed.

Treat the generated list as a frame and then edit it. The prompts worth tracking are the ones a buyer said out loud on a sales call, in their words, including the constraint they kept repeating.

Buyer prompt questions

How many prompts should I track?

Twenty to thirty, weighted toward the intents where your deals are won. Fewer than twenty and a single answer flipping swings your citation rate by double digits. Many more than thirty and you are paying to watch questions nobody in your market asks.

Should the prompts include my brand name?

A few, and not many. A branded prompt tells you what the engines say about you, which is worth knowing and is what the Brand Perception Checker is for. A category prompt tells you whether you are considered at all. A list full of branded prompts produces a flattering number that measures nothing about demand.

Do these prompts work for Google's AI Overview as well?

Partly. AI Overviews trigger from search-shaped queries, which are shorter and blunter than a conversational prompt. Keep a short keyword form of your top prompts for the Google surfaces and the longer conversational form for chat engines, then compare which wins where.

Is anything I type here sent to a server?

No. The generator is a pure function running in your browser, and the daily limit is enforced in browser storage rather than by an account. Nothing you type into the fields is stored or transmitted.
